St James’ PTA
We are fortunate at our school to have a PTA that is an integral part of the school community. In its time the PTA has raised thousands of pounds, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education experience and the school’s facilities.
Our PTA is about much more than simply fundraising. The PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school. It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or PTA helpers!
All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available.
Not all of our events are run as fundraisers, for example the KS1 and KS2 children’s summer discos are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support for the PTA.
The PTA committee is a team of volunteer parents and carers who manage the association of behalf of the members. The committee are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Who we are…
What we do…
Our PTA have compiled a booklet to explain all. To read it click here.
As parents, you are AUTOMATICALLY a member of the PTA… your voice counts. Our PTA depends on a continual cycle of parent involvement. As children reach their final year and leave, so do their parents. The teachers and head support us when possible, but without all your support, we have no PTA – WE REALLY DO NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
